All My Journals

Every idea or thought is worth writing down somewhere, regardless if it's good or bad. Obviously, keeping a journal on a computer is more effective. The possibility of using a search function, to find a specific entry, is just one advantage that specialized applications can offer. All My Journals combines the simplicity of the standard Notepad application with a series of features, which are usually found on advanced text editors. The software allows you to create and organize your entries, in different journals, export or back them up and more.

Although it is optimized for Windows 7 and Vista, All My Journals works on Windows XP as well. You can download and install this lightweight application in less than a minute, without sacrificing too much disk space. You can either try out a fully functional trial version or use the software's free version, which has a few limitations.

The software allows you to type your entries for each day of the month. You can switch between different days with Next and Back buttons or you may use different tools to go to a specific date, month or year. Besides different dates, you can switch between different journals as well. If you want to write down an idea and a diary entry, on the same date, you may write them in separate journals, so they will not get mixed up.

A series of options, located on the left side of the interface, can be used to create and manage journals, export and back them up, search for specific entries and display all entries from a certain month in the same window. You may use the search function to locate your keywords in the current entry or in all the entries from the current month or year. The same criteria can be applied when exporting entries, in rich text format. You can choose to export the current date, month or year.

As previously stated, the software's functions make it more than a standard Notepad application. It allows you to align your paragraphs, center the text, set it to bald, italic, underlined and so on. A spell checker is available as well. It will not hinder you by changing your words, but it will underline your mistakes. It is also possible to set up a password, if you want to keep your entries private.
